Interior Trim Materials
GAHH offers interior components for luxury imported cars including Mercedes, Lexus, Jaguar, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and BMW along with selected interior parts for certain models of Ferrari, Acura, Cadillac, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Maserati and SAAB. All parts are made from carefully crafted patterns which enable our artisans to exactly duplicate the original part rendering. It is virtually indistinguishable from the factory item.
This theme of originality is carried through GAHH's choice of materials for use in production of interior parts. GAHH uses original materials from the OEM vendor, or, if it is no longer available, GAHH uses the highest quality substitute material offered. Most materials are imported from Europe despite the fact that less expensive and almost original quality materials are available from domestic or third world sources.
This passion for correctness in design and authenticity of materials ensures the trimmer and car owner that the car's interior will be as new. The following list describes our materials in more detail.
|British Vinyl||Parts of Jaguar leather seats along with interior panels were originally trimmed in matching vinyl. OEM vinyl is offered not only as original but for complete seat upholstery kits where budgetary considerations and the value of the car warrant.|
|German Vinyl||Vinyl seats for Porsche, Mercedes and BMW are manufactured with original MB Tex and other OEM vinyls with correct grains and embossings. Pleats are heat-sealed as original where appropriate.|
|Leather||Leather for seats and sundry panels is imported from Europe and is specially tanned and finished to exactly duplicate the original color, weight and grain specified by Mercedes, Porsche, Jaguar, Rolls-Royce and BMW. For vintage Mercedes models Oldtimer surface dyed leather is also available in limited colors at extra cost.|
|Haargarn||Original in early 911 Porsches and in contemporary Italian cars, Haargarn is all natural carpet woven, not tufted, in the old-fashioned way. Imported from the OEM supplier.|
|Multiloop||Earlier models of Mercedes and BMW used a synthetic loop carpet, either solid tone or two-tone. Carpet sets for these cars are supplied with the authentic-type carpet imported from Germany and cut and bound as original.|
|Sliverknit||Used for many years in Porsche, this ultra-plush carpet is imported from Germany and is available in a vast array of colors. Porsche carpet sets are cut and bound in Sliverkint to original factory specifications including authentic backing material under the floor pieces.|
|Squareweave||356 Porsches and early Mercedes sports models used this durable and distinctive woven carpet. The OEM supplier still weaves it in limited quantities. Carpet sets are cut and bound with vinyl or cloth binding as appropriate.|
|Velour||Current models of Mercedes and BMW and some Porsches used a tufted Velour carpet. This material, still being available, is imported from the OEM manufacturer in Germany. Carpet sets are cut and bound as original.|
|Wilton||Originally offered in Jaguars, Rolls-Royce and other fine English cars, this carpet is also appropriate for early Mercedes models. 100% wool and alcathane backing, Wilton combines vintage appearance with modern durability.|
